High Pressure Water Jet Cleaning Hose

High Pressure Water Jet Cleaning Hose

High pressure water jet hose, also called steel wire reinforced water jetting hose, is designed for high-pressure water washing and industrial cleaning applications, including sewer cleaning, tube bundle cleaning, concrete preparation and surface treatment. Available in working pressures up to 320 MPa, these hoses are widely used in shipyards, construction sites, and industrial maintenance environments.

Case Details

Industrial cleaning teams need hoses that fit their pumps, reach the work area, and carry the required water flow. Our high-pressure water jetting hose range serves plant maintenance teams, cleaning contractors, shipyards, and equipment builders.

We offer steel-reinforced thermoplastic hoses for pipe cleaning, heat exchanger maintenance, surface preparation, and concrete removal. Selected models have a working pressure of up to 320 MPa, or about 46,400 psi.

Explore our hose construction, compare water jetting hose specifications, or review industrial cleaning applications to define your requirements.

Steel-Reinforced Thermoplastic Hose Construction

Our range includes SPIR STAR® thermoplastic high-pressure hoses reinforced with spiral layers of high-tensile steel wire. Options include two, four, six, and eight reinforcement layers, depending on the hose model.

For buyers, construction matters because the hose must balance pressure capacity, bore size, flexibility, and wear resistance. Therefore, selection should start with the cleaning task rather than pressure alone.

Our experience with high-pressure cleaning hoses covers pipe and sewer cleaning, heat exchangers, paint removal, and concrete removal. This application knowledge helps connect product features with the demands of each job.

Water Jetting Hose Specifications

The following models provide a starting point for comparing hose bore and working pressure.

Hose model Internal diameter Working pressure Approximate pressure
5mmUHP 4.5 mm 320 MPa / 3,200 bar 46,400 psi
6mmUHP 5.8 mm 320 MPa / 3,200 bar 46,400 psi
8mmUHP 7.6 mm 320 MPa / 3,200 bar 46,400 psi
13/2WR 12.8 mm 104 MPa / 1,040 bar 15,080 psi

These figures apply to the listed hose models. The permitted working pressure of a complete assembly also depends on its fittings and operating conditions.

In addition, hose length and bore affect pressure loss. Compare these factors with pump flow and nozzle demand before placing an order.

Hoses and Fittings for Heat Exchanger Cleaning

Heat exchanger tubes often have small bores, tight bends, and limited entry space. As a result, both the hose and its end fitting must fit the full cleaning path.

DuraLife Flex® hoses feature an outer cover designed to reduce wear during tube and pipe cleaning. This helps address abrasion where the hose rubs against the work surface.

Meanwhile, Blast-Pro® compact fittings provide a smaller profile for cleaning narrow tubes. Their shorter design helps the assembly pass through bends and can allow a larger hose bore within the available space.

Blast-Pro fittings are intended for cleaning inside tubes. For open-surface work, select fittings approved for that application.

Typical selection examples include 4/2 hoses for heat exchanger tubes with internal diameters of 12–15 mm and 6/2 hoses for tubes measuring 15–18 mm. However, actual fit also depends on the fitting diameter, nozzle size, deposits, and bend geometry.

Industrial Water Jetting Applications

Our range supports several industrial cleaning tasks. Each application calls for a suitable combination of pressure, flow, hose size, and cleaning tool.

Industry or task Cleaning requirement Key selection factor
Chemical plants Clean process pipes and heat exchangers Tube bore, access, and fluid compatibility
Shipyards Remove rust and coatings from hulls Assembly pressure rating and tool connection
Road maintenance Remove damaged concrete Water flow, hose bore, and equipment demand
Airports Remove rubber deposits from runways Compatibility with the surface cleaning unit
Road marking removal Feed rotating surface cleaners Pressure, flow, and hose routing
Thermal power plants Clean heat exchanger tubes Small-bore access and bend clearance
Alumina plants Clean large process pipelines Flow capacity and required hose length

For example, a small-bore tube cleaning hose must pass through the tube while feeding the nozzle. By contrast, concrete removal equipment may need a larger bore to carry more water.

Review the hose specifications alongside these application needs before choosing a model.

How to Specify a High-Pressure Hose Assembly

A clear specification helps purchasing teams compare offers and helps engineers check system fit. Include the following details in your inquiry:

  • Maximum working pressure and expected pressure peaks.

  • Required water flow and cleaning tool details.

  • Hose internal diameter and finished assembly length.

  • End connection type, thread size, and fitting material.

  • Water temperature and any cleaning additives.

  • Minimum bend radius and available routing space.

  • Tube dimensions, bends, and entry restrictions.

  • Order quantity and required delivery date.

Also, distinguish working pressure from burst pressure. A burst pressure figure must never be used as the operating limit.

For repeat orders, record the approved hose model and fitting details. This gives maintenance and purchasing teams a clear reference when replacing an assembly.

What Industrial Buyers Should Review

A useful hose comparison goes beyond the purchase price. First, check whether the assembly can deliver the required flow at the tool. Next, assess its flexibility and fit in the work area. Then, review wear exposure and replacement needs.

For procurement records, request the current model datasheet, assembly pressure rating, and relevant test documents. Confirm which documents apply to the exact product being ordered.

Where tubes have tight bends, check the full assembly dimensions before approval. A suitable hose can still fail to fit if the coupling or nozzle is too large.

Request a Water Jetting Hose Quotation

Send your working pressure, flow rate, hose length, connection details, and cleaning application with your inquiry. For heat exchanger work, also include the tube bore and bend layout.

Whether you are sourcing replacement hoses or specifying equipment connections, these details provide a clear basis for a suitable product quotation. Use the assembly specification checklist to prepare your request.
