ID 3/2 High-pressure Pipe Cleaning and Pressure Test Hose
Product Information
The ID 3/2 High Pressure Hose, identified in the manufacturer’s catalogue as Hose Type 3/2, connects industrial pressure equipment with a defined hose construction and assembly specification.
Its 3.4 mm internal diameter, 6.9 mm outside diameter, and 1,000 bar working pressure provide key references for equipment selection. A POM core, two steel-wire reinforcement layers, and a green PA cover complete the construction.
For OEM buyers and maintenance teams, the selection extends beyond the hose itself. Length, end fittings, routing, and operating conditions must also suit the finished equipment.
Construction Defined by Three Material Layers
Type 3/2 uses polyoxymethylene (POM) for its inner core. Around this core, two layers of high-tensile steel wire provide pressure reinforcement. The outer cover is polyamide (PA).
These stated materials give purchasing teams a clear basis for documenting the hose specification. They also support a review of fluid compatibility and external service conditions.
The listed temperature range is −30°C to +70°C (−22°F to +158°F). Confirm suitability for the working medium and the intended pressure–temperature conditions during application review.

Hose Dimensions and Pressure Data
| Specification | Metric | Imperial |
| Hose internal diameter | 3.4 mm | 0.13 in |
| Hose outside diameter | 6.9 mm | 0.27 in |
| Working pressure — hose only | 1,000 bar | 14,500 psi |
| Listed burst pressure | 2,500 bar | 36,250 psi |
| Bend radius | 60 mm | 2.36 in |
| Hose weight per unit length | 0.072 kg/m | 0.048 lb/ft |
| Insert internal diameter | 2 mm | 0.08 in |
| Listed sleeve outside diameter | 8.9 mm | 0.35 in |
| Temperature range | −30°C to +70°C | −22°F to +158°F |
The working-pressure rating applies to the hose itself. Depending on the selected fittings, the permitted pressure of a finished hose assembly may be lower. Burst pressure is a separate specification and is not an operating limit.
Match End Connections to Your Equipment
The manufacturer’s Type 3/2 datasheet documents several connection options. These include steel one-piece fittings with 1/16-inch × 27 NPTF or M6 × 1 threads, plus a G1/4 female swivel insert with a 24°/60° connection.
These options provide specific references for an assembly inquiry. However, the fitting type, mating connection, and permitted assembly pressure require confirmation before ordering.
Also, distinguish the 3.4 mm hose bore from the 2 mm insert bore. They describe different components and should remain separate in equipment documents.
For an existing machine, provide the fitting reference or a connection drawing. For a new build, include both end connections and the required finished length.
Application Fit for Cleaning, Testing, and Hydraulics
Heat exchanger maintenance.
Type 3/2 is listed for heat exchanger tube cleaning. Review the hose route, nozzle connection, access openings, and operating movement together.
Pressure test assemblies.
Listed applications include test equipment for valves, tooling, and control panels. Specify the test medium, pressure cycle, required flow, and hose length to support selection.
Hydraulic tools and instrumentation.
The application list also covers gauge instrumentation packages, service equipment controls, hydraulic jacks, and hydraulic tools. Confirm the fluid and duty conditions for each installation.

Plan the Route Before Finalizing the Length
The 60 mm bend radius is an important layout reference. Review the full hose path, including changes in direction and movement during operation.
Connection dimensions matter as well. A passage that accepts the hose body may not accommodate the sleeve or complete fitting. Therefore, check the largest assembly dimensions before confirming access through openings or equipment housings.
In addition, allow space for connection work and inspection. A routing sketch can help clarify these requirements during quotation.
